Lawyers have multiple demands placed on them daily, from preparing documents to gathering evidence to be used in court. Their time is valuable and in short supply. That is why, at Rhino Legal Finance, we take as little time as possible from lawyers to complete our side of the job for our shared clients.
What We Need From Lawyers
Quite simply, when assisting personal injury clients, we have only two requirements for lawyers that we need to get things started and put in motion. Both of these requirements are handled at the beginning of the lending process.
- Confirmation of case facts. When a client first applies for a loan with Rhino Legal Finance, we talk with them, gather all the details of their case, and fill out their application. Once this has been completed, we need to have a quick phone call with the client's lawyer to verify that the details are correct including the situation, the established facts, injuries sustained, and any foreseen liability issues. This phone call will only be approximately five to 10 minutes long.
- A signature on relevant documents. If we decide to give a pre-settlement loan to your client, there are two documents that require your signature. The first document's signature verifies that the loan application is true to the best of your knowledge. The second document signed is a notice of assignment, which is an agreement of payment upon settlement. For your convenience, both documents are emailed to you.
A lawyer's responsibilities can seem endless, but with Rhino Legal Finance, they are straight forward and simple. When a client applies for a pre-settlement or lump sum loan, we only require a lawyer's attention briefly at the beginning of the lending process to confirm and approve the loan application.
